Description
Along the Edelweiss Trail, you will be asked questions about the Swiss national flower. It is about its origin, naming, healing powers and much more. The path is lined with life-size Edelweiss steles, which provide you with information.
The Suntigweid reservoir invites you to linger with its barbecue areas and edelweiss benches. You can capture your excursion on the oversized picture frame with panoramic photos with views as far as Lake Constance.
Hidden Gem
From the reservoir, a marked path (Sunntigweidweg) takes you quickly to the trail of the 2-lake hike.
Equipment
The path is well developed, but you are still walking off-road. Good footwear is therefore recommended.
Directions
We set off at the Pardiel station and turn left uphill after a few meters. The path continues uphill towards Obersäss, where we turn left and follow the path to Suntigweidsee. We return under the lake, again via Obersäss back to Pardiel.
