Description

Along the Edelweiss Trail, you will be asked questions about the Swiss national flower. It's about their origin, naming, healing power and much more. The path is lined with life-size edelweiss steles, which provide you with the information.

The Suntigweid reservoir invites you to linger with barbecue areas and Edelweiss benches. On the oversized picture frame, you can capture your excursion on the way with panoramic photos with a view of Lake Constance.

Geheimtipp

From the reservoir you can quickly reach the path of the 2-lakes hike via a marked path.

Ausrüstung

The path is well developed, but you still move in the terrain. Good footwear is therefore recommended.

Directions

At the pardiel station we start hiking and after a few meters we cut off to the left uphill. The path leads us further uphill towards Obersäss, where we turn left and follow the path to Suntigweidsee. Back it goes under the lake, again via Obersäss back to Pardiel.

Public Transport

By train to Bad Ragaz and from there by bus to the bus stop Bad Ragaz, Pizolbahn directly at the valley station Bad Ragaz of the Pizolbahnen. From there take the gondola to the Pardiel mountain station.
