Eggli mountain station - Luderer Egg - Fanas

The hike starts at the Eggli mountain station of the Fanas cable car with a gentle ascent, passing the Sassauna restaurant (only refreshment option en route). Across pastures, it continues upwards to the foot of the Sassauna (drinking fountain). There the beautiful high-level trail to Luderer Egg begins on the left, with a magnificent view of the village of Seewis. Soon you can see on the right the highest Prättigau peak Schesaplana (2964 m).

Along the ridge, continue to Luderer Egg, from where you follow the lovely grassy ridge path towards «Munt». The descent over pastures, flower meadows, and through fir forests to Munt is partly quite steep. Shortly afterward, the path joins the gravel forest road, leading through the Munt ravine to the Längtanne forestry yard (Swiss family campfire site). From here, the road is paved; soon you emerge from the forest and see the village of Fanas. Where the road forks, you can either reach the cable car station easily uphill in 10 minutes or continue downhill to the «Fanas Neugaden» bus stop within 10 minutes.

Ascent of the Sassauna (2307 m) via a steep meadow path from Luderer Egg, the junction is signposted (additional 300 meters of elevation). Very beautiful viewpoint.
