Description
The starting point for this 4 km long trail is the info point of the station Unterterzen on the lake side at the station Unterterzen (425 m above sea level.M). From there, the paved beach path leads along the lake in the direction of Murg - the turquoise blue Walensee and the imposing Churfirsten always to the right. Halfway between Unterterzen and Murg, the Eigis Trail turns right, under the railway and road underpass. A few meters later, the trail follows the main road and shortly afterwards leads to a well-developed and wide hiking trail. Now it goes through the partly steep deciduous forest and a natural staircase up to Eigis (496), from where you can enjoy a wonderful panorama! Almost flat, the trail continues over meadows and fields to below Quarten. Below the church, the trail turns left into the hiking trail for the descent to Unterterzen. The last few meters to the starting point lead through the underpass at the town hall in Unterterzen.
