Details
Description
Alp Flix is also called the "treasure island of biodiversity." So far, over 3,500 species of fungi, plants, and animals have been observed on an area of about 5 km². Six of these animal species – such as the dung midge Rhexosa flixella – are classified as new discoveries and are presented in detail on the stroll. The varied route leads along calcareous and non-calcareous small sedge meadows with feverfew and marsh loosestrife, dry sites with feather grass and plumed knapweed. Finally, you reach several small lakes where barbecue areas along the Lais Blos invite you to a cozy rest.
Hidden Gem
To enjoy the plants in (full) bloom, a visit between June and October is optimal. The route runs counterclockwise.
