Die gemütliche Stube der Schesaplanahütte

Thanks to the Fanas cable car, which saves you quite a few altitude meters, and the kick scooters that can be rented at the Schesaplana hut for the descent to Seewis (reservation highly recommended), this is a pleasant hike that also allows plenty of time for a relaxing break at the Schesaplana SAC hut.

Description

The cable car takes the hiker from Fanas to the Eggli mountain station, at 1700 m above sea level, the start of the hike. The ascent begins in the direction of Sassauna; at the upper spring, turn left and cross the west flank of Sassauna to Luderer-Egg at 1952 m above sea level. Like a curtain, the view suddenly opens up to the Rätikon, the full splendor from Falknis to Schesaplana. The path continues to the right and crosses the slightly descending north flank of Sassauna to Ludera-Vordersäss at 1699 m above sea level. Here you are on the alpine pastures of the Fanaseralp Ludera, which, by the way, produces excellent alpine cheese. From the Vordersäss, follow the path to point 1747, turn right, and ascend to the Schesaplana hut at 1908 m.

Hidden Gem
