Description

The section on the singletrail towards Piz Plaun Grond runs along the Senda Pauli, a well-known hiking trail often frequented by many flower enthusiasts – so consideration is paramount here. For bikers, this trail offers a beautiful traverse that requires technical skill in places.

After a short but steep climb, we reach the scenic summit of Piz Plaun Grond (Bostg). Up there, without any trees or shrubs, a clear panoramic view of the surrounding mountains opens up – simply breathtaking!

Then begins the descent on a flowing singletrail past the idyllic alpine huts of Mises dil Bostg. This is followed by a shady, wooded section leading to Prau Sura. Directly on the path, a fountain with fresh spring water invites you to refresh yourself – ideal for hands, face, or even feet.

Before we can enjoy the relaxed finish of the route, one last steep descent awaits to the charming hamlet of Mompé Tujetsch. From there, we roll very relaxed easypeasy to the valley station of the aerial cableway – a perfect end to an impressive route!

Hidden Gem

The ride up with the aerial cableway is free with the guest card (but not for the bike).

Directions

From the mountain station Caischavedra, we follow the hiking trail towards Piz Plaun Grond (Bostg). From there, take the middle of the three hiking trails down to Mises dil Bostg. Finding the path to the left into the forest is somewhat difficult here. After the forest, turn right and reach the meadow Prau Sura. After the fountain comes a forest. A final steep section leads to the road in Mompé Tujetsch. Turn left and follow the signs to Disentis.
