Skitour auf den Girenspitz

The technically and conditionally difficult tour is scenically incredibly pretty. The hilly areas offer a great contrast to the imposing Sulzfluh wall.

Description

From Rüti follow the rolled path towards Partnun. Bim Ronenegg you cross the Schanielabach on the wooden bridge and climb up to Untersäss. Following the summer path you reach the old huts of the Mittelsäss of Alp Carschina. From here, the trail leads in a westerly direction over steep slopes on the broad eastern ridge of the Girenspitz, which you follow to the summit. The limestone walls of Sulzfluh and Drusenfluh seem close enough to touch.

If the sunny slopes are already harsh, you will still find nice powder here with a good choice of route. Those who start in Partnun climb from the mountain houses over the alpine pastures up to Obersäss. From here it goes westwards towards the summit.

attention! The descent in the area of the ascent track. South of the Girenspitz lies the Wildruhezone Schlüecht. Thank you for respecting the nature!

Geheimtipp

The Girenspitz can be combined well with the tour to the Schafberg: Two magnificent ski touring peaks right next to each other!
