Grevasalvas
Show all 6 images
Above Lej da Segl lies Grevasalvas, the Engadine 'Heidi village', a quiet little village where the Heidi TV series was filmed in 1978. This route is really worthwhile, because of the beautiful view, but also because you cross the Lunghin Pass, a rare triple watershed.

Description
From the Muot Marias sports center, head towards Sils Baselgia to the Via Engiadina. The path leads gently upwards and reaches rich open pastureland with a wonderful view of Grevasalvas. Either walk down for a short visit to the village or continue on the ascending mountain path, which leads over mountain streams and marshy sections towards Lej da Lunghin. Past the lake and one last steep section up, you reach the Lunghin Pass and the triple watershed - water flows to the Atlantic (via the Rhine), the Mediterranean (via the Po), and the Black Sea (via the Danube). The descent follows a steep zigzag path straight down to Maloja.
