Hans Brühlmann circular route, Vorderbrüggler loop (stations 5 to 7)
Show all 4 images
The Hans Brühlmann circular route leads around Vättis. At the seven most beautiful viewpoints, each board invites you to linger and to look: with the eyes of the painter and draftsman Hans Brühlmann (drawings from 1910 and 1911), with the eyes of the Vättis photographer Korinna Fröhlich (double exposure photographs from 2021), and with your own eyes.
Details
Description
The circular route commemorates the East Swiss painter Hans Brühlmann (1878–1911). The artist created about one hundred Vättis drawings in his last years of life (1910/1911). At seven locations where Brühlmann sketched Vättis, his drawings are contrasted with double exposure photographs from the present day by the Vättis photographer Korinna Fröhlich. The pictures and photographs are supplemented by notes on interesting historical facts (on the board and on the website of the Vättis tourism association). As a fourth element, viewers are encouraged to observe the landscape and Vättis with their own eyes and look for differences between the drawings from 1910/1911 and the current situation. The image journey is enriched by texts about the artworks and the history of the village (also accessible via QR code).
