Description

The Heidi experience already begins at the valley station in Bad Ragaz, where small goat pens indicate the Heidi trail. A special experience for children is the gondola ride with one of the decorated Heidi gondolas.

On the circular trail, the goal is to find Peter's goats. Those who find all the goats and discover the solution word can participate in a competition and win an attractive prize at the end of the season. The pleasant circular hiking trail passes various attractions such as the children's Kneipp facility with barefoot path, the hammock forest, or the goat jump. Playgrounds, barbecue areas, and a viewpoint also invite you to linger.

Hidden Gem

A first highlight awaits you right at the beginning: the ride with the lovingly designed Heidi gondola up to Pardiel. Already on the way, you dive into Heidi's world – an experience that delights both young and old.

Safety Note

Attention: only the first section of the path from Pardiel to Alp Schwarzbüel is pram-friendly, not the entire circular route.

Equipment

The path is well developed, but you are still moving through terrain. Good footwear is therefore recommended.

Directions

From the Pardiel mountain station, the path turns right, passing the playground and the chairlift station Laufböden. On the left, past the old mountain station, the Heidi trail begins. We follow the path to Alp Schwarzbüel. We reach it after about 30 minutes on foot. Behind the small hut, the path becomes a bit rockier and winds up a few meters in elevation to the viewpoint. From there, we continue straight back towards Pardiel.

Directions

Public Transport

The Pizol area is quickly and conveniently accessible by public transport: from Zurich and St. Gallen in one hour to Sargans or Bad Ragaz, from Chur in 15 minutes. From the Sargans and Bad Ragaz train stations, buses run in a few minutes to the valley stations of the Pizol cable cars.

For the journey to the Heidi trail, we recommend the Bad Ragaz valley station.

Travel Information

For the Wangs valley station take the Sargans exit and for the Bad Ragaz valley station the Bad Ragaz North exit. The valley stations are well signposted from the motorway exit. Both valley stations are only 5 minutes from the motorway exit and can be reached in winter without snow chains or other aids. Ideal accessibility via the A3 (Zurich-Chur) and the A13 (Lake Constance-Sargans-Chur).
