Heidiland Skate No. 53

From Landquart, the trail first leads to Malans. On old cultivation paths, surrounded by the typical masonry, it goes through the vineyards of the Bündner Herrschaft. After a short detour to the Rhine dam at Maienfeld, you finally reach the spa town of Bad Ragaz and on to Sargans.
Up to Sargans you will find an ideal infrastructure for skating. From Sargans to Walenstadt, the Seeztal is crossed on long, clear straights. The path near the river is mostly separated from the roads.
From Walenstadt, the lake and railway line remain the constant companions, beach resorts are partly located directly on the way. The Heidiland Skate leads past the train stations in all villages with the possibility to cover individual sections by public transport. In the well-known tourist resorts a very good infrastructure is available.

Attention: Between Landquart and Sargans agricultural traffic is possible in the vineyards. In Sargans in front of the station, truck traffic is possible on about one kilometre.
