Description

Switzerland's first ibex were reintroduced to the Weisstann Valley in 1911. The ibex trail documents and stages this important event.

The hiking trail leads from the Erlenbrücke Weisstannen bridge to the Klosterbrücke bridge, along the Seez torrent. The trail is equipped with various elements and information boards that provide information on various topics, and a barbecue area with covered seating invites young and old to linger.

Normal hiking equipment, sturdy mountain boots.

Take the train to Sargans, continue by bus to the Weisstannen Oberdorf stop.

Travel Information

Take the Sargans highway exit, then the main road to Mels. In Mels, the route to Weisstannen is signposted.
