Description
At the railing of the bridge in Brulf, we do a few stretches before setting off. It immediately starts to climb, but nicely evenly, so we make good progress at a steady pace. At the height of Cavardiras, we have already reached the highest point. The village belongs to the municipality of Disentis and is still very original and inhabited year-round. It is mainly known for the pilgrimage church visible from afar, dedicated to Anthony of Padua. Up to Pardomat, we take it easy, then pick up the pace again. With the sun on our faces, we jog towards Disla and admire on the way the beautiful typical wooden houses of Disla. The last stretch runs along the Rhine and soon we are back at the starting point.
Hidden Gem
There are fountains with fresh water in Cavardiras, Pardomat, and Disla.
If you are not in a hurry, you can stop in Disla at Ustria Fravia.
Equipment
Wallet, in case you want to stop for a break
