With stroller, Disentis village tour

We start the tour at the monastery parking lot and first we briefly visit the baroque monastery church. After we have passed the imposing monastery building, we walk along Via da Paders, later on neighborhood paths to Sontga Catrina. A lot has changed here in the last few years. The new Catrina Resort offers everything you could want for a sporty or relaxing holiday. Once we have reached Acletta, we take a quick seat on the forecourt of the Lady Chapel and enjoy the view of the Piz Medel mountain range. In Segnas, we stroll through the village center with well-kept Walser houses, pretty gardens and arbors and in Ustria Cresta, at the lower edge of the village, we secure a place on the sunny terrace and let the time pass with a coffee. The way back only runs downhill, via Buretsch, Cuoz and Acla da Fontauna, until we are back at our starting point.

From the monastery of Disentis we follow the Via dils Paders to Sontga Catrina and to the valley station of the cable cars.  On a low-traffic road we reach Acletta. After the chapel we keep left, past the Hotel Piz Ault. The road joins a dirt road. Before the stream we turn right. At the next junction we keep left again, cross the Segnas stream and reach the village of Segnas. At the southern end of the village, keep first to the left and right again at the old schoolhouse. The road leads down to Buretsch, where a natural road branches off to the left. We follow this through a small valley to the houses of Cuoz. Past the chapel you pass the houses to the cantonal road. We follow this to the left to the sports centre. After the sports center, at the stream, we find the turnoff along the stream down to the village, to the Wollkarderei. Now we follow the Quartierstrasse past the village church. The last 500 meters of the tour we have to cover on the main road.
