Climbing fun for everyone directly in Pontresina.
Details
Description
The La Resgia via ferrata is located at the exit of Pontresina (direction Bernina Pass on the left valley side). The via ferrata goes up along the waterfall towards Alp Languard. Highlights are the "Eagle's Nest," where it becomes slightly overhanging, and the "Spider Web," where it gets somewhat shaky. These key points require arm strength. The key point "Eagle's Nest" can be bypassed by an easier variant (K3). The end point is about 15 minutes’ walk below the mountain restaurant Alp Languard.
Approach: The footpath to the start is well signposted; it takes about 20 minutes from the village center. There is a new approach directly to the left behind the Hotel Palü; do not use the old footpath!
Descent: After the La Resgia via ferrata, you can either hike up to Alp Languard and take the chairlift back to Pontresina or descend directly on the Röntgenweg. If you haven't had enough of the via ferrata yet, you can reach the start of the Languard via ferrata in 10 to 15 minutes. Another 90 meters in altitude with 200 meters length and a highlight of a roughly 15-meter-long rope bridge.
