Description

The name “Las Squadras” has always been used by the locals. The leisurely walk can be started and finished from any of the four villages. It leads along natural roads and side roads with little traffic and is also suitable for baby carriages. At Sumvitg, you can alternatively take the leisurely roads below the village, which lead towards Cumpadials and vice versa towards Rabius.In Rabius, Sumvitg, Sumvitg/Cumpadials railroad station and Surrein there is a restaurant where you can enjoy drinks and good food (please note opening times). In Plaun Petschen (near Cumpadials) there is a playground with a fire pit and natural lake. In Igniu (near Rabius at the bottom of the valley), the Parc Igniu also awaits visitors with a bike park and climbing wall as well as a playground with a fire pit.

The tour should not be undertaken in uncertain weather conditions. Weather changes are frequent in the mountains. If a rain front or similar is approaching during the hike, you should turn back in good time.

From the Grisons cantonal capital of Chur, take the Rhaetian Railway through the spectacular Rhine Gorge to Ilanz and on to Rabius.

Take the A13 to Reichenau, then the main road 19 via Flims to Ilanz and on to Rabius.
