Details

Description

From Scuol, the gondola takes you to the mountain station and along the Via Engiadina through open alpine terrain to the east. Above the tree line, the trail leads through the Jonvrai basin with magnificent views and crosses several mountain streams. The route then runs mostly flat along the slopes of Piz Champatsch with a view of Scuol, the Clozza Gorge and the sunny village of Sent.  Over sparse forests and Vastur you descend to Sent. From there, dirt roads lead to the quiet, wooded Val Sinestra. After crossing the Brancla, past the Kurhaus, you change sides of the valley and reach Vnà via a path partly carved into the rock with suspension bridges. On a wide road through sunny terraces with an impressive panorama, you continue towards Ramosch.

Hidden Gem

In the historic Val Sinestra spa house, it is worth taking a look at the spa floor, where people once took a cure and bathed in the mud. At the Brancla, you can also marvel at arsenic-containing mineral springs. Refreshment stops are offered at Hof Zuort.
