Description

From Celerina, the route passes by the church San Gian and continues leisurely via Pontresina to Morteratsch. Then the ascent begins to Bernina Diavolezza, along Lej Nair and Lej Pitschen to the dam of Lago Bianco. The highest point is reached at the Ospizio Bernina station. The path follows the lake and descends to Alp Grüm, the most beautiful viewpoint to the Val Poschiavo and Italy. At Alp Grüm, the singletrail descent to Poschiavo begins. About 1000 meters of altitude must be overcome; as a reward, a pizza or a gelato awaits at the Piazza in Poschiavo. The day ends with a comfortable train ride along the UNESCO World Heritage line up to the Bernina Pass and the descent to Alp Grüm to the accommodation.

Casa Alpina Belvedere: The guesthouse is an oasis, a retreat far from the hectic everyday life and at the same time the starting point for a discovery trip into the surrounding nature. Casa Belvedere is located above the Alp Grüm railway station. Each room offers, besides its own character, an individual view.

Albergo Ristorante Alp Grüm: After the indescribable color play of the sunset, peace and quiet return and only the sounds of nature can be heard. The Albergo Ristorante Alp Grüm is located directly at the Alp Grüm railway station. It’s high time for a delicious dinner featuring the house specialties: pizzoccheri and cordon bleu.
