Description
From Alp Giüglia (2215 m) on the Julier Pass road, cross the stream (Ova dal Vallun). East of the prominent moraine, ascend towards south-southwest into the deep basin. Here, turning left, very steep over the Gianda Polaschin towards the rocks of Polaschin. At 2500 m, these run into a steeply falling funnel, which can rightly be called the "key point" of the route. After crossing it, the valley ridge is overcome. Now into a small valley at the foot of Cresta Tscheppa or northwest of it via P. 2659 to Vadret Lagrev. Over this towards the ridge saddle northwest of P. 3085 and further to P. 3109. Ski depot. The ridge to the actual summit is quite exposed in the last section but offers no particular difficulties under normal conditions (foot ascent approx. 30 minutes). 3 hrs.
Descent: along the ascent route
