Description

We start at the train stop in Acla da Fontauna in Disentis. The climb up to Segnas and into Val Segnas is pleasant and we reach the highest point of the tour on a road. Plaun Menisch: Here there is nothing to cloud the view of the mountain panorama with the Medelser glacier and at regular intervals the cable car hovers over our heads. It is an optimal place to take a break. With small counter climbs we continue to roll over the Val Acletta into the Val Clavaniev and over the Muntatsch to the valley. The trail is largely only moderately demanding, so that we are always allowed to take a look at the surroundings.

Hidden Gem

In Val Clavaniev there is the possibility to shorten the tour.

Directions

From Acla da Fontauna we drive a short distance to the left on the cantonal road. to the junction for Cuoz. On quarters and roads we reach Buretsch, later Segnas. We cross the village from south to north and pedal to the left of the stream to the bridge. Here we follow the road to the right to Plaun Menisch. The descent continues a little further along a road, but after the second bend we turn left into Val Acletta. On a single trail we overcome the Val Clavaniev. As soon as the path leads into a road, it goes easily downhill. After the big right-hand bend, however, the turn-off to the right, to Clavaniev, must not be missed. Things are looking up again. After the hamlet of Clavaniev, we follow the hiking trail to the right, which leads over the Muntatsch. Now we can easily drive to Acla da Fontauna.
