Description
For the first ascent, comfortably take the gondola to the Rinerhorn mountain station, where your hike begins. Passing the petting zoo, the first ascent follows to the Hubelhütte, which is open from Friday to Sunday in good weather. Those who prefer it more leisurely can also take the wide forest road over the Äbirügg up to the Hubelhütte. It is worth taking a small break at the Hubelhütte because the Tinzenhorn seems within reach. The Tinzenhorn is also called the Matterhorn of Davos; once you see it, you'll immediately know why. Next is an ascent up to the Rinerhorn, where you are rewarded with a beautiful panorama into the side valleys and surrounding mountains. Now follows a small ascent towards the Marchhüreli; this small peak can be bypassed by crossing a scree field from which you can already see the mountain station of the Nüllisch ski lift. From the Nüllisch, it then goes downhill again towards the Rinerhorn mountain station.
Hidden Gem
You have to try the Kaiserschmarren at the Hubelhütte; it is a true insider tip. The homemade cakes at the Jatzmeder restaurant are also a taste experience for your palate.
