After the long ascent from Thusis to the Glass Pass, the descent follows down to Safien Square. The trail is steep and exposed in places. From Safien Platz you drive along the Rabiusa, a tributary of the Vorderrhein, down the valley.
Through a beautiful gorge in the Aclatobel Nature Forest Reserve, we continue to Scuolms. The view to the Flimserstein and the Rhine Gorge from here is breathtaking. After a rapid descent down to Bonaduz we go along the Rhäzünser Rheinauen to Rothenbrunnen.

On the way there are refreshments in the Berggasthaus Beverin on the Glaspass or in the Gasthaus Rathaus in Safien Platz. In the farm shop of the Culmserhof exit Safiental you can fortify yourself with fine local products and chilled drinks. In Bonaduz, Rhäzüns, Thusis and Cazis there are various other places to stop for refreshments.
