Description
The walk starts at the Nossadunna chapel on the lower edge of the village of Cumbel. After about 300 m, the dirt road branches off to the right to Vella/Pleif. The route continues through the varied coniferous and deciduous forest. In the middle of the forest, the dirt road ends and turns into a hiking trail. After the small wooden bridge, the somewhat steeper ascent to Pleif/Vella begins. When we arrive at the church, we take the left path towards the village. Shortly below the first houses, the gravel road branches off to the left to one of the most beautiful viewpoints of the Val Lumnezia. From here there are two ways to get to Degen: The first is a slightly steeper hiking trail that leads directly to Degen. The second is the Feldstrasse, which winds leisurely through the meadows in the direction of Rumein and then to Degen. At the Sogn Bistgaun chapel on the outskirts of Degen we take the turn-off in the direction of Peiden. Past the Teufelsstein, the route continues over the pastures and through the forest. In spring and after thunderstorms, the stream in the forest before Peiden may have a little more water, please be careful when crossing. Shortly before Peiden, there are boards along the way with interesting information about beekeeping and the native trees and shrubs. Below the village of Peiden, the forest path joins the main road. Follow the road to the upper end of the village, where the path branches off on the right side up to the starting point in Cumbel.
Sicherheitshinweis
The stream in the forest of Peiden can carry a little more water in spring or after strong thunderstorms. Please be careful when crossing.
The hiking trail from the stream up to the church of Pleif is relatively wet in spring and it can be a bit slippery because of the clayey ground.
In uncertain weather conditions, the tour should not be started. Weather changes in the mountains are frequent. If a rain front or similar comes up during the hike, you should turn back in time.
Ausrüstung
Good hiking boots with good profile or trekking shoes, weather-adapted clothing (rain jacket), drink, ev. Meals, ev. Hiking poles.
