Description
The hike starts at the Votlas parking lot in Samnaun Dorf and leads gently uphill through the Inner forest. Through the snow-covered pines there are repeated views of the Samnaun valley. From the forester's hut Motta Saltuorn, continue to the viewpoint above the Val Motnaida, where there is a view of Samnaun Dorf as well as Piz Ot and Piz Rots. Return by the same route to Samnaun Dorf. The path is also used as a sledding route; sleds can be rented in the sports shops.
Safety Note
The path is prepared after every snowfall. Please check the reports at the condition report. The route was rated under favourable weather conditions; current snow and weather conditions must be checked before starting.
Warning: The entire path is also a sledding route.

Equipment
High and sturdy hiking boots or winter boots, warm clothing, sun protection, hiking poles, if needed: sled for the descent.

Travel Information
- From the north: via Landquart – Klosters by car shuttle through the Vereina tunnel (Selfranga - Sagliains). Then on the H27 towards Scuol and Martina to Vinadi. From the Vinadi junction to Samnaun (approx. 1 hour from Vereina south portal)
- From the east: via Inn Valley road B180 through Landeck to Pfunds, turnoff Kajetansbrücke and via Spiss to Samnaun.
- From the south: via Reschenpass (Nauders) on B180 to Pfunds, turnoff Kajetansbrücke and via Spiss to Samnaun.
Please note: When traveling to Samnaun, you need a valid travel document (passport, ID), as you will pass customs at Martina or Spissermühle.
