Description

We start at the bus stop Serras, respectively the parking lot at the cross-country skiing center. For 300 m we follow the road towards S-charl. Then we turn left and cross the Inn. Past the Lischana fountain (here you have the opportunity to fill the drinks bottle with a natural sports drink). After 100m, before crossing the stream, we turn right and follow the trail. Shortly after a right turn, a path turns left. This leads us in a zigzag course to a junction with a red bank at 1,314 m above sea level. We take the middle path to Bellavista (beautiful view) to the village of Scuol. From here we follow the trail until we reach a paved road. Here we turn left and after a few meters we take the hiking trail to the San Jon riding stable which we reach in a short time. We turn right and follow the trail to S-charl along the stables. Shortly after the parking lot of San Jon we take the path on the left, cross the road to S-charl. After 600m we reach the road to S-charl again which we follow for about 800m. Here a narrow path turns off to "Avrona" and we enjoy the downhill down to the Clemgia. On the opposite side of the river begins the Swiss National Park. After the bridge, there is a short climb to Avrona. Here chamois are often grazing. We cross the garden of the Gasthaus Avrona, which is recommended for a stop.

From here there are several possibilities:

Option 1: Back to Scuol via Vulpera

In front of the fountain at the Gasthaus Avrona we turn right to the mountain school Avrona and follow the marked hiking trail towards Vulpera – Scuol. The beautiful path leads us through the typical Engadine forest in some curves to Vulpera. From here it is only a few meters to our destination in Gurlaina, Scuol.

Option 2: via Lai Nair Tarasp

Right at the parking lot Gasthaus Avrona, vis-à-vis the fountain, a forest path begins slightly hidden. First it goes a few meters relatively steep followed by a flow trail with a pleasant incline along the ridge until we reach the wider road. We follow this and soon we see the beautiful Lai Nair on the right side. After passing the lake, we reach a path that turns right. We follow this path towards Tarasp. Near the large antenna we follow the path to the hill with the cross, from here we have a beautiful view of the castle Tarasp and the Lai da Tarasp. On the hill we follow the sign to Sgné We cross the main road and the hamlet of Sgné and follow the path towards Florins. Before Florins, at the bench, we turn right and follow another wonderful trail first curvy then flat and finally curvy again. Soon we reach the Inn at the Trinkhalle/Büvetta. We cross the Inn bridge and take the hiking trail on the left side of the Inn. In front of the restaurant Büvetta (refreshments in summer) we cross the Inn again and follow the path on the right side of the Inn to the end of the tour in Gurlaina.
