Directions
The snowshoe trail starts at the Alprestaurant Panüöl. What used to be a small tea hut is now a popular meeting place for winter sports enthusiasts and nature lovers. You can enjoy the wonderful view of the Spitzmeilen on the cozy sun terrace. The tour begins with an easy ascent - ideal for warming up. The highest point of the tour is reached at the foot of the Maschgenkamm. The initially steep descent through light-flooded spruce forest is wonderful. Finally, you reach the groomed Prodalp-Panüöl winter hiking trail and follow it for a short section. The gentle murmur of the mountain streams with their elegant ice columns makes the winter idyll perfect. With a bit of luck and a keen eye, snow hares can be spotted here. At the Rotenberg rest area, benches invite you to take a breather with a view of the impressive Spitzmeilen area. Shortly after Rotenberg, the trail branches off to the right and leaves the winter hiking trail. Trudging through the deep snow, the trail continues in the direction of Prodalp. The trail becomes flatter and you slowly approach the colorful winter hustle and bustle of Prodalp. Before descending to the mountain restaurant, take a moment to enjoy the fantastic view: The Churfirsten are enthroned before our eyes - the panoramic view of Selun, Frümsel, Brisi, Zuestoll, Schibenstoll and Hinderrugg is unique. The destination of the snowshoe hike is reached at the mountain restaurant. The Prodalp is a wonderful place to end the tour and enjoy the afternoon sun to the full.
