Description
The outdoor fitness trails in the Heidiland holiday region comprise more than 30 uniformly signposted running paths from a total of 10 stations and thus form one of the largest open-air fitness parks in the Alpine region. The Seez-Trail is one of three running trails around flums station.
The starting point for this 11.4 km long trail is the info point of the Station Flums at the parking lot of the station (451 m.a.s..M). Still at the train station, before the bridge over the Seez, all three trails turn right onto the sidewalk along the stream, until the next bridge. After crossing it, you continue through inhabited area towards the football field. Only here do the trails separate. Shortly before the football pitch, the Seez Trail turns left - right into the middle of the old village centre. Finding the right way through the many alleys is not so easy. The two village churches (554) serve as a landmark. Past them it goes to the southern edge of the village and from there to the Seez. On a well-developed agricultural path it goes between the Seez and the forest past individual farms, apple trees, meadows and pastures to the small farm settlement Sax at the Tiergartenhügel (466). There you cross the Seez on a small stone bridge. Always with the Churfirsten and the chapel of St. Georgen in mind, it is now on the other side of the Seez on the national bike route back to the Infopoint at the station parking lot in Flums.
