Details

Description

At the Bual football field in Vella we put on the snowshoes and follow the first 100 m of the winter hiking trail towards Davos Muns. At the information board with the mountain panorama we leave the path and walk right up over the pasture. After about 20 minutes of climbing, a gentler section follows to the stream. After crossing the stream (small bridge) we meet the winter hiking trail in Sasuz and follow it into the forest of Vattiz. In the middle of the forest we leave the hiking trail and walk up left to Tschanabrels. Another small climb, a stream crossing and a section in the forest follow. At Divrein the descent to Vignogn begins.

Safety Note

This snowshoe route is marked in the terrain with pink posts but not tracked. It partly leads through steeper slopes. For this reason, you need basic knowledge in avalanche risk assessment.

Furthermore, a complete safety equipment must always be carried – regardless of the current avalanche danger.

For preparation and planning of the route, we recommend the APP and website of WhiteRisk.

Fancy more challenging routes? For carefree enjoyment we recommend our mountain guides and snowshoe hiking leaders of the Surselva.

For us humans, winter is a wonderful time! Deeply snow-covered landscapes, clear, pure air and in the evening after the snowshoe route, a warm, cozy home awaits. But for our wildlife, such as deer, stag and chamois, winter is a hard time! Every disturbance by us humans, every flight, becomes torment for these animals and strains their reserves. Stay on the published route! This way the wildlife and quiet zones are protected.
