Description

The snowshoe route Bidanätsch leads from the mountain station Gadastatt of the gondola into a varied winter landscape. For the approx. 5.6 km long, continuously marked route, three hours of walking time should be calculated. Open fir forests, wide alpine meadows and an extensive mountain panorama surround the snowshoe hikers on their gently sloping walk at an altitude between 1800 and 2000 meters above sea level. The route is divided into a small round (Gadastatt to Kristallloch) and a large round (circular route from Kristallloch).

Hidden Gem

Cozy dining at the panorama restaurant Gadastatt. Enjoy the beautiful mountain panorama on the terrace in sunshine.

Safety Note

Please always pay attention to the current avalanche situation. Whether the snowshoe route Bidanätsch (small and large round) is open can be found out at Visit Vals or the Bergbahn Vals. The snowshoe route Bidanätsch is only marked during the winter season by Bergbahn Vals.

From avalanche level 3 (considerable) there is significant avalanche danger off the route. Do not leave the route! From avalanche level 4 (large) the snowshoe route Bidanätsch must generally not be used!

Walking the snowshoe route requires snowshoes and solid equipment, careful time planning, basic knowledge of snow assessment and physical fitness. The route should only be used in dry weather, good visibility, never alone - and only along the markings. Walking the snowshoe route is always at your own risk and responsibility.

Warning: Off the route after new snowfalls, strong winds or with large temperature increases there is avalanche danger. Please observe closing times. Please do not leave the route.
