Details
Description
At the end of the Länta valley towers the 3402 m high Rheinwaldhorn. The green meadows of Lampertschalp contrast with the imposing, rugged rock walls of the Länta valley. You enjoy the view of the picturesque mountain lake below the Soreda Pass. The Plattenberg / Piz Scharboda area impresses with geological diversity. And the view into the Valser mountain world and the Blenio valley from the Soreda Pass compensates for the effort of the ascent.
Hidden Gem
Historical research says that the furthest part of the Valser valley was probably settled from the Blenio valley. According to Walram Derichsweiler, around 1900 the tradition that Zerfreila was first inhabited and that the oldest houses were there was still alive. "Zerfreila was populated via the Soreda Pass." The tendency of the farmers from the southern valleys to secure additional alpine areas beyond the watershed speaks for immigration from the Blenio valley.
