Details
Description
Here we go, starting at Obersee, which lies 1,735 meters above sea level. The first highlight is the Eichhörnliweg, followed by the mountain oasis of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel, designed by star architect Mario Botta, and the Tschuggen Hut with KuhBar, where the après-ski really kicks off. The route then passes AlpArosa and continues to the Carmennahütte, well known among winter sports enthusiasts, where the highest point is reached at 2,127 meters above sea level. Then it goes down to the Alpenblick restaurant and the Gampibach before a climb begins to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car. Afterwards, the path leads along the Arosa Bear Land and a little later through the Arlen forest. The final sprint starts in Maran, passing the Maran dairy and the Hotel Hof Maran. The last kilometer, called the Heimfahrtpiste, leads down to the starting point at Obersee, requiring the utmost concentration due to the gradient.
