Details
Description
The circuit begins at the Obersee, which is located at 1,735 meters above sea level. After a flat kilometre it goes uphill and along the Eichhörnliweg. An eye-catcher on the way up is the mountain oasis of the Tschuggen Grand Hotel, designed by star architect Mario Botta. There's a lot going on in winter at the Tschuggenhütte with KuhBar – the après-ski meeting place in Arosa par excellence. It is now not far to the middle station of the Arosa-Weisshorn cable car, which is the highest point at 2,010 m above sea level. The gaze wanders to their passage to the Arosa Bear Land. Through the Arlenwald it then goes down to Maran, where it passes the Maran dairy and the Hotel Hof Maran and opens up a magnificent view of the cross-country ski trail and the golf course. From Scheitaboda to the beginning of the so-called home runway, the route runs almost flat. Then it goes partly steeply down to the Obersee and thus back to the starting point.
