Description

With the sonorous chime of the monastery church in our ears, we first cycle out to the village and soon leave inhabited area behind us. The forest road towards Plaun Grond and Plaun Tir has had its best years for some time, but with the MTB it is still quite comfortable to be able to overcome the altitude difference in even bends. At Truaisch, the path runs in an arc into the Val Clavaniev, to the Maiensäss Casa Lavinaras. The deep view into the valley is magnificent, we stay just as long as we do not cool down too much, because the descent can be rapid.

To put the icing on the cake of the tour, we turn into a single trail at point 1442, with which we cross the Clavaniev stream and end our tour via the pretty fraction Clavaniev.

Geheimtipp

In Plaun Grond it has a well-furnished fire pit and fountain

Sicherheitshinweis

Don't miss the turnoff at point 1442

Directions

From the parking lot in a westerly direction to the holiday home Aurora, and opposite turn right. We follow the road to Truaisch where we stay on the line and drive straight ahead. Casa Lavinaras is still 40 metres in altitude. On the way back at point 1442 turn right onto the single trail, in an arc over the stream, through the fraction Clavaniev and with a slight incline back to the road, where we drive on the ascent route back to the starting point.
