Description

Enjoy a beautiful walk before sledding from the Tarasp Fontana bus stop, passing to the left of Lai da Tarasp (lake) featuring the artwork "The Moon" by Not Vital. On the left, you will see the impressive Tarasp Castle with its 1000-year history. After a somewhat steeper section up to the transmission mast, it’s worth looking back repeatedly to admire the hamlets of Fontana and Sparsels. After the transmission mast, turn left into the sledding path. It varies between steeper and flatter parts. After a stretch across the open meadow with views toward Scuol and Sent, a small stream appears on the right side of the path and accompanies you a bit on the way down towards Vulpera. Continuing past a farm with llamas, the sledding run separates from the hiking trail, and you sled down the last bit to Vulpera. Upon arrival in Vulpera, you can take the bus or walk back through Vulpera via Gurlaina to Scuol.

Hidden Gem

Buy some Salsiz and other specialties at the farm shop in Chants.
