Description

At the very back of Vals, the mighty massif of the Güferhorn divides the alpine high valleys of Canal and Läntal in two. The Furggeltiweg, one of the most attractive pass tours in the region, runs right through the middle between the Zerfreila and Furggeltihorn peaks. The long ascent leads directly above Lake Zerfreila to an altitude of 2700 m and the steep descent is rewarded with a fantastic panorama of the highest peaks and most impressive glaciers of the Vals Valley. The Rückweg from the Länta Hütte SAC to Zerfreila is much flatter and rewards persevering hikers with refreshment stops.
