Description

We leave Trun in a northerly direction and below the pretty settlement of Cartatscha we circle an imposing catchment basin, which protects the village from mudslides during storms. An evenly ascending road leads us past Caltgadira through a mountain forest and in numerous bends to Alp Munt, where we reach the tree line and the view of the valley becomes clear.

For the descent we use the single trails and cross the already known road three times. It totally sweeps! It gets quieter again in the lower part when we add a swivel over Campliun.

Directions

Start is the train station Trun, from where we first drive up towards Kantonsstrasse, turn right there and turn left again at the next intersection. Here it has a signpost of the SwitzerlandMobility Route 90 Trun-Laax. 250m later the tour turns left towards Casa Depuoz, drive past the house and follow this road, which changes into a natural road a short time later. We follow the natural road upwards to its end at 1878 m above sea level.M. Here we turn left onto the access road to Maiensäss.

The departure begins at the house. Here the hiking trail turns left. We always follow the signpost until we cross the road we drove up for the second time. Here the tour follows the natural road down until about 800m after the hairpin bend at Pt. 1444 the hiking trail turns left of the road again. We drive down the trail until the clearing leads to a wider path. This leads directly back to Trun. If you want to extend the Singltrail descent a bit, turn right at the beginning of the trail onto an unmarked hiking trail. This leads down to Campliun. There we follow the hiking trail signs through the village again, cross the cantonal road and drive below it back to Trun.
