Description

The ideal starting point for this easy circular hike is the Maienfeld train station. From here it goes through the historic city center to the northern outskirts of the city, past the historic Brandis Castle. In the middle of the vineyards, the route continues via Heidibrunnen to the wine-growing village of Fläsch, which was awarded the Wacker Prize in 2010. We continue through vineyards and forests a little uphill, from where you have a beautiful view of Fläsch. Back in the village, you continue along the Rhine, past forests and meadows and finally back to Maienfeld.
