Winter trail running: Innauenweg Samedan-La Punt
On the way through the Upper Engadine river landscape, the view sweeps across the wide valley. In the middle rushes the Inn, whose renatured sections are particularly attractive.

Description
The path starts at the Promulins Arena in Samedan near the train station. Following the traces of the "Innauen" renaturation, it leads to La Punt. At first, the old Inn dam is followed, past the airport and to the Beverin mouth. The Inn itself flows under the cantonal road by the Promulins Arena into the renatured riverbed. At Gravatscha, the Flaz flows into the Inn and is now canalized up to the Beverin mouth. To preserve the natural balance, the Flaz flows from the right into the Inn. This prevented the Flaz glacier water from flowing into the Gravatscha lakes. The tributary was created as part of the Samedan flood protection project by relocating the Flaz and renaturing the old Flaz.
At the Beverin mouth, the route switches from the left to the right riverbank. Here begins the revitalized section of the Inn: for just over two kilometers, the dams were dismantled and the riverbed expanded. The Inn flows downstream up to 200 meters wide. Since the end of 2020, the work has been completed; however, the Inn has long since taken over and continues to shape the landscape with its floods and high waters. The area is home to many endangered animal and plant species. Mobile boards provide year-round information about flora and fauna. The hiking trail makes a detour to Isellas and then returns to the riverbank. Up to La Punt, it runs directly along the river. From the municipal boundary to La Punt, the Inn flows again between high dams – straight as an arrow. It is, however, unclear for how much longer. There are efforts to free it from its "corset" and give it more space again. Taking a seat is also worthwhile on the crown of La Punt, where the route can be ended with a warm drink. From here, there is a regular bus connection back to Samedan.
