Description
The fireplace is located above the Maran region almost at the Prätschalp. As it suggests, the fireplace is right next to a small mountain lake and offers a stunning view across the mountain peaks on the opposite side.
On the way up you pass the cheese making factory Maran - always a good option to buy extra food for your picnic.

Public Transport
The Rhaetian Railway leaves Chur to Arosa and back at hourly intervals. Take the local bus from the train station Arosa towards "Prätschli" and get off at the bus stop "Maran".
Directions
From Chur, take the winding Arosastrasse road to the end of the valley in Arosa. At the entrance to the village after the petrol station, turn right into Maranerstrasse and follow the road to the end. There are a limited number of parking spaces in Prätschli.
We recommend leaving your car in the village and taking the local bus from there (to the Prätschli bus stop) and then continuing on foot.
Parking
At the entrance to the village there are large signs indicating the various parking options. We recommend the Ochsenbühl multi-storey car park. There is a bus stop right next to the parking garage. There you can take the local bus from (to the Prätschli bus stop) and then continuing on foot.
