Traces of the former glacier can be discovered on the Pizol 5-Lake Hike.

Description

The lakes on the north side of the Pizol are dammed up behind harder rock barriers. Even small differences in hardness of the rocks lead to different erosion resistance. Under the ancient glacier cover, the hard rock bands were smoothed out by the debris in the ice.
