House Amstein

Show all 6 images

House Amstein in Malans impresses with its imitation ashlar painting and a hipped roof. It is a historic manor house that once belonged to the Boner trading family in the 18th century.
Description
The quoins painted on the façade, the first row of windows high above the alley and the hipped roof over the massive structure show that this is a stately home. Above the graceful balcony thrones a harmonious "Senter gable" (typical for the village Sent), reminiscent of an out-of-town descent. But the Wildmannli on the west façade taught you that you were at home in the League of the Ten Jurisdictions (Zehngerichtebund).
