Murgbach-Wasserfall

With its 12.5 meters, the waterfall at the Murgbach is not the largest of its kind. But its look is all the more special: The red Verrucano stone and the intense green of the surrounding vegetation give the waterfall of the Murgbach an almost exotic flair. The largest chestnut forest north of the Alps also contributes to this by having the waterfall. The Murg waterfall can be reached from the village square Murg in a 30-minute hike on the signposted chestnut path. For water fans, the direct route via Murgbach gorge is only a few minutes away from the train station, where glacier mills can be admired.
