Traces of the Segnes Glacier
Even if you regularly visit the Segnesböden, you will always have a different view, as the streams on the two plateaus keep on changing their ways.
Description
Large quantities of debris and gravel have accumulated in the alluvial plain of the Upper Segnesboden. In the part of the plain facing the glacier, a stream cuts through the terminal moraine of the "Small Ice Age" around 1850, which lies across the plain.
