The magnificent landscape terrace offers a phenomenal view of the Glarus Thrust.

Description

In the Tamina valley along the road between Pfäfers and Vadura, there is a landacape terrace called the viewpoint Windegg. In addition to the fantastic view of the Glarus Thrust along the Wildseehörner, into the Tamina Valley and into the Tamina Gorge, you can also find exciting information about the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona on originally designed information boards and viewing guides. The comfortable seats and loungers, as well as a climbing rock invite you to linger. A visit to the viewpoint can be easily combined with a visit to the earthquake exhibition in Vättis.

By train to Bad Ragaz, continue with bus 451 (direction Gigerwald, dam) to bus stop Pfäfers, Postplatz, change to bus 454 (direction St. Margrethenberg, village) to bus stop Vadura, Abzw. Bläs

Directions

From the A3 exit 12 Bad Ragaz, via Pfäfers follow the road in the direction of Vadura, the info point is located on the right side of the road a few hundred meters before entering Vadura (parking lot on the side of the road).
