The Pizol Glacier, a small cirque glacier remnant, is located below the Pizol peak and is easily visible from the 5-Lake hiking route. Annual length changes have been measured here since 1893.

From his hut on Alp Tussagn, Segantini climbs even higher up to Lai Tigiel in a 2 1/2-hour walk. There he worked on the paintings «Alpenweiden», «Die Strafe der Wollüstigen» and «Die bösen Mütter».
