Description
You will meet your guide and other participants at 3:30 pm at the courtyard in front of the Episcopal Castle. An experienced guide will lead you through the Cathedral Treasury Museum, showing and explaining the works of art of the past. In this museum you can admire two collections. You will see the Cathedral Treasury, which is filled with ancient reliquaries and liturgical utensils. These were originally used in medieval times as furnishings in the costal church of St. Luzi and in the cathedral. In addition, you will get to see the death picture cycle from 1543, which is unique in Switzerland. This work contains 25 scenes and shows death pictures from the bishop's castle. In this one-hour guided tour you will dive into the past and learn a lot about the treasures in the museum. **Practical Information:** + Recommended: Clothing for low temperatures in the museum (18 - 19°C) + Suitable for strollers + A minimum number of participants is required for this tour. If there are too few registrations, the tour may be cancelled the day before.
