06th Anniversary Event: The Roots of the Rigahaus

What's the deal with the gravestone in the garden wall of the Rigahaus senior citizens' centre? And what does all this have to do with the Latvian capital in the Baltics? The house has an eventful history. A history that also has a lot in common with other historic villas in Chur.

The owner family Caviezel passed into the Bener line by marriage in the 19th century. Our speakers, Dr.med. Dominic Scharplatz-Nadig, former Chief Physician of Surgery at Thusis Hospital, and his daughter Ladina Ehrler-Scharplatz are descendants of the Bener family. They tell of the roots of the Rigahaus in the context of many other exciting historical aspects of Chur.
