1. August-Feier in Chur mit The Blackouts

This year, the city's national celebration once again offers a varied experience for all generations. In the afternoon, the Quaderwiese is transformed into a lively meeting place with creative and playful offers. Two food trucks provide a wide range of products - from bratwurst to ice cream - for the physical well-being.

Varied programme
The Chur children's and youth work is present with a colourful and playfully creative hands-on programme - giant Legos for imaginative buildings, a creative painting competition, badges and outdoor games provide fun and exercise.

At dusk, the festive part of the evening begins: the traditional lantern parade of the children, accompanied by the Stadtmusik Chur, creates a special atmosphere. Afterwards, the President of the Municipal Council, Rainer Good, will give the official speech at the national celebration. The crowning glory is the LED show by The Blackouts, who took second place in "Britain's Got Talent" with their impressive light and music performance.

Alternative in case of bad weather
As in the previous year, a weather-related relocation to the Stadthalle Chur is planned this time. The decision on the venue will be communicated on the city's website at least two to three days before the event.
