Anthems for the limitless - with this claim, the four have set to work to conceive a new album. Music that propagates the overcoming of territorial thinking, of borders, of egoism: not theoretical manifestos, but sensual, emotional music. The band doesn't just want to propagate freedom, it wants to experience it in music together with the audience.

Ganesh Geymeier sax

Ganesh Geymeier is sometimes Coltrane (Alice and John), sometimes Lomax (Alan) and Bowles (Paul), sometimes Parker (Charlie or Evan) when he docks his saxophone to his backpack or to the memories archived on his laptop. Geymeier is a composer, companion, improviser and archivist who draws his strength from the refusal to pigeonhole the characteristics.

Pietre (Steine) is the chordless quartet led by bassist Alessandro Fongaro, known for his work with Sun-Mi Hong, Ambergris and the Brainteaser Orchestra. Pietre is a cry to live again, to love again. The two saxophonists show an impressive range, carried by a closely intertwined interplay of double bass and drums.

The jam session allows professionals and amateurs alike to present themselves, try out new things and cultivate the fun and joy of playing together without much concert pressure. At the same time, they promote networking and dialogue on an artistic and interpersonal level. JazzChur also cultivates the long-standing jazz tradition - which can be experienced by musicians and audiences alike.

The house band opens the evening with a small concert. At the subsequent jam session, the members of the house band accompany the participating musicians or make room at their instruments.
