Am Fels: eine Lesung mit Regula Caviezel in Safien Platz

Regula Caviezel came to writing late. With the two stories contained in this volume, "Am Fels" and "Grasland", she ties in with her two short novels "Die Silberne" and "Blutweiderich". Caviezel writes of love and rejection, of becoming and passing away, of being young and growing old, of a life close to nature and on the other hand of alienation from nature, and this in her very own language.

In "Am Fels", the inhabitants of the small village act on stage. Firlefanz, the village idiot, also tries to play the game in his own way. The dropout Käthe lives in the hut close to the rock and is called a witch. She herself does not notice that she actually holds the strings in her hand – literally and figuratively. And while the elements go crazy, the village's men's choir sings the "German Mass" ...

"Grasland" is the story of Jakob and Aline, who have long since lost sight of each other. She desperately searches for him where she is at home, in the immeasurably wide grassland and later under the elongated rock face. Her search becomes a fantastic, unreal structure, but at some point she has to face reality. Will she be able to do that, and how will she live her life without Jacob? And how could everything have come to this?
